Description Spc. Jared Goins, C Company, Division Headquarters Battalion, 38th Infantry Division, engages targets during the weapon qualification event of the Indiana Army National Guard Soldier of the Year competition held at Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center, Ind., April 18. The two-day event tested the soldiers abilities in weapon qualification, physical fitness, knowledge of Army Warrior tasks, day and night land navigation, hand-to-hand combat ability, an 8-mile road march, timed obstacle course, a written test and a board chaired by the Indiana Army National Guard's most senior noncommissioned officers.
