yo College. There are morn-ing bells at G.15, G.45, and 7 a.m., and at7 oclock sharp the boys have all to answer totheir names at roll-call, which is taken by theCollege monitors. Then follows half - an - hoursexercise, to wake them up thoroughly, duringwhich time they generally go to the gymnasium(where there are a couple of excellent instructors),or kick a football about in the various housequadrangles. At 7.30 the Hindus assembleat the temple for bathing and prayers, afterwhich they return to their houses for an hourspreparation; the older boys, being privileged,work in their own rooms, whilst the juniors meetin the common-room and study under the super-vision of their motamid or house-master. Break-fast follows, the chief meal of the day, and lastsuntil 10 oclock. PUBLIC SCHOOL LIFE do what they hke, and the occupation variesaccording to the season of the year. In theafternoon there is school again from 2 to 4, andthen recreation until 6 oclock.
