Description
Deutsch: Blick vom Tagebau-Aussichtspunkt "Inden" (sog. "Kleiner Indemann") nach Westen 11 Tage nach dem Wassereinbruch. Ganz links das Braunkohlekraftwerk Weisweiler, das zum Aufnahmezeitpunkt immer noch mit stark reduzierter Leistung betrieben wurde, daneben zur Bildmitte hin der Bereich, in dem das Überschwemmungswasser der Inde ins frühere Flussbett gelaufen ist, dieses tief ausgehöhlt hat und in den Tagebau geflossen ist. Der Hang war bis zum 15. Juli 2021 durchgehend begrünt. Im rechten Drittel des Bildes sind einige Förderbänder des Tagebaus zu erkennen. Von rechts kommen im Vordergrund mehrere Bänder aus den unterschiedlichen Abbauzonen. Fast rechtwinklig dazu verlaufen nach hinten zum Horizont hin zwei Bandstraßen, welches das Kraftwerk mit Kohle versorgen, während nach schräg hinten rechts Bänder verlaufen, die Abraum zum Verkippen in ausgekohlte Bereiche des Tagebaus befördern. Zwischen der abgerutschten Hangzone und dem Förderbandsystem befindet sich eine größere Grasfläche, auf der Lkw's und andere Fahrzeuge zu erkennen sind, hinter der Grasfläche befindet sich, etwas höher gelegen, eine Umspannstation mit dort endender Hochspannungsleitung.
