Incomplete double looped buckle with moulded decoration
Description
English: Post medieval buckle; Incomplete cast copper alloy double loop buckle with moulded decoration, dating to c1550-1650. This fragment consists of the pin bar, one complete buckle frame loop and the start of both ends of the other loop. The pin bar is narrow and has a d-shaped cross section. There are moulded scallops at either end of the pin bar, where the buckle frame loops start. The complete loop has moulded decoration but this is now worn and indistinct.

Length (across the complete loop) 27.1mm, width (edge of pin bar to back of loop) 18.4mm, thickness 3.4mm, weight 3.62g
