Description SAS DC-4, Inaugural of route Stockholm - New York, SAS first flight across the Atlantic, make a stopover at Prestwick Airport, South Ayrshire, Scottland, 1946-09-15. 28 invited passengers flow the first flight over Atlantic ocean with DC-4 Dan Viking from Bromma Airport, Stockholm to La Guardia LGA, New York. Stop-over at Kastrup Airport, Copenhagen CPH, Prestwick PIK Airport in Scotland and Gander Airport at Newfounland Island. The first flight took 25 hours.
