Summary

[edit]
Description
English: In Stathern Wood Part of the Belvoir Estate, this wood with the adjoining Plungar Wood and Barkestone Wood, is the largest area of managed woodland in Leicestershire apart from Charnwood Forest. The majority of the trees on this high section are beech. This photograph was taken from the Jubilee Way long distance footpath at the high point of the wood (160 metres above sea level) and the Vale of Belvoir is laid out in the distance.
