| Description |
English: In Broad Street Tunnel, Birmingham Despite the coat-less pedestrians, the towpath was still wet from the soaking it had received in the previous twelve hours and for days before that.
This is looking towards Old Turn Junction on the Birmingham Canal Navigations. The tunnel is 83 yards (76 metres) long, and goes takes the canal from Gas Street Basin, under the street and its buildings, which are Grade II listed. It is the 1773 Paradise Wharf Branch which split off at Old Turn Junction and headed through Broad Street Tunnel to Gas Street Basin and then under Bridge Street. |
