English: On the left is an image of SBS 0335-052 in the I band taken by HST in the optical domain. On the right is an image of the same galaxy obtained with OSCIR on the Gemini North Telescope in the mid-infrared (10.8 micron). All the mid-infrared flux comes from a dust embedded super stellar cluster that cannot be detected at optical wavelengths.
