Wappenschild zweimal gespalten und zweimal geteilt mit Herzschild (Feld V); I. Landgrafschaft Hessen; II. Reichsfürstentum Mainz; III. Reichsfürstentum Worms; IV. Grafschaft Ziegenhain; V. Kleines Staatswappen des Großherzogtums Hessen; VI. Grafschaft Katzenelnbogen; VII. Grafschaft Büdingen; VIII. Grafschaft Hanau; IX. Grafschaft Nidda. Die fünf Spangenhelme tragen (ebenfalls heraldisch von rechts) die Helmzierden zum IV. (Ziegenhain), II. (Mainz), I. (Hessen), VI. (Katzenelnbogen) und VIII. Feld (Hanau).
