Description
Italiano: I cani in Groenlandia sono considerati cani da lavoro. Purtroppo più di una organizzazione internazionale per la protezione degli animali ha evidenziato come i cani da slitta in Groenlandia vivano in condizioni estreme. Spesso peraltro molti di questi cani vengono soppressi dopo pochi anni di vita quando non vengono più reputati validi per il lavoro. I cani riportati in queste foto non avevano segni di maltrattamenti ma erano comunque tutti legati ad una catena la cui lunghezza non permetteva loro di muoversi oltre i quattro/cinque metri.
English: Dogs in Greenland are considered working dogs. Unfortunately, more than one international organization for the protection of animals has shown that sled dogs in Greenland live in extreme conditions. Often, however, many of these dogs are killed after a few years of life when they are no longer considered valid for the job. The dogs shown in these photos had no signs of mistreatment but were still all tied to a chain whose length did not allow them to move beyond four / five meters.
