Summary

English: Ilsley Down Riding Route The byway splits here and actually the more significant route is a bridleway to the right, which is surfaced track leading to a farm. This is the byway continuation of the Ilsley Down Riding Route, its status shown by the need for a sign 6 foot 6 except access. It is unsurfaced, and deeply rutted in places, yet the yellow notice informs of a forthcoming closure for resurfacing. It must be for the filling in of the ruts, because there is no evidence that this byway has ever been hard-surfaced. |
