Description
English: The November 27, 1859 issue of Illustreret Tidende had an article and this illustration of Edinburgh in Scotland. The illustration was on page 73, and was based on a drawing by lieutenant Victor Hansen of the Royal Danish Navy. Hansen had achieved that rank in 1858 and in 1859 he was allowed time to serve as navigator on the Danish steamer Odin, sailing to Great Britain and Iceland. He ended his naval career as a rear admiral.
