Description
English: The November 27, 1859 issue of Illustreret Tidende had this illustration of the church Frederiks Tyske Kirke (King Frederik's German Church) in the Christianshavn quarter of Copenhagen. The church celebrated 100 years of its inception and the article was accompanied by this illustration on page 72. The German congregation left the church in 1886, and from 1901 it was a local parish church with the new name Christianskirken.
