Frank James was in the liouse,having arrived on Tuesday night, and in this wayalone could he view the body with comparativesafety. But if Sheriff Timberlake and other officerspresent entertained such a suspicion, they madeno attempt to take advantage of it. The crowdwas armed, from man to boy, and no aire§tof one brother could have been made in that yardover the grave of the other. There were wild scenesof passionate grief on the part of the mother andwidow during the final services at the grave, andSheriff.
