t \y± inches. Sixteenth Century Florentine Walnut DkaAv Table Plain oblong top, with two drawer leaves. The apron is curvedand carved with bold gadroonings, with acanthus leaves at theangles and the centers of the sides and cuds. The two heavylegs are lyre-shaped and richly carved in a design of three carya-tid figures. That in the center, with a womans face and breast,terminates in voluted feet and is surrounded by a festoon offruits and leaves, while those at the side have grotesque heads,and terminate in large ball and lions paw feet, the lower partsbeing formed of scrolled and acanthus-leaf carved bracketsThe heavy molded base-rails are carved with winged grotesquemasks Hanked by voluted acanthus leaf can ed ends. The broadhorizontal brace is molded and tinted and supports a centralfigure-shaped, scrolled and voluted bracket ending in lions pawfeet. This is flanked by two half brackets of similar design.
