I mulini che caratterizzano il paesaggio della Riserva Naturale Orientata Saline di Trapani e Paceco sono di due tipi: il mulino a stella o olandese, strutturato con grosse pale in legno e il mulino Americano, di costruzione più recente, dotato di pale meccaniche.
