Description
Italiano: Ruderi dell'antico edificio storico - A.Luciano
Deutsch: Ruinen der Burg Solofra bestehen hauptsächlich aus zwei Ecktürmen und den Resten der Außenmauer. Sie liegt in der Gemeinde Solofra am Fuß der östlichen Ausläufer des Vellizzano und Faito Gebirge in der italienischen Provinz Avellino, in der Region Kampanien. Die Überreste der Burg/des Schlosses liegen auf einem Hügel in 470 Meter Höhe. Die erste schriftliche Erwähnung der Siedlung Solofra datiert aus dem Jahr 1015. Sein Herrscher war ein gewisser Lord Maione. Im Jahre 1417 ging das Lehen an Francesco Zurlo, Graf von Montoro. Die Familie Filangieri, eine weitere Adelsfamilie aus der Umgebung, beanspruchte das Lehen aber für sich und belagerte die Festung von Solofra mit einer großen Armee. Im Jahr 1528 ging die Festung in den Besitz der Familie Orsini über und dann blieb das Lehen bis zur Abschaffung des Feudaltums im Jahre 1806 in ihrem Besitz. In der Gemeinde Solofra hat sich der Palazzo Orsini erhalten.
