Description
English: Ikkeri, a small and traditional village in Sagar taluk of Shimoga district in Malnadu region of Karnataka, is of great historical importance.

It was the capital of the kingdom of the Nayakas of Keladi and built in 16-17 century. It's uniqueness is the temple consists 16 main pillars in that 12 are in Dravidian style and 4 pillars are in Hoysala's Style. In above image you can notice first 2 pillars are different from others. The picture is taken at 4-53 pm the sun is moving towards west and temple's architecture is shining with angular sunlight and the frame is telling the historic story inside and the present day outside.

The stones are only can carve during the night because It's difficult to carve during day the stones become harder.
