Considerada Monumento Nacional. Construída presumivelmente no século XIII, no reinado de D. Afonso II. A partir do século XVI, transformou-se em Panteão dos Almeidas, passando a albergar os preciosos túmulos dos ilustres D. Diogo, D. Lopo e D. João de Almeida. O actual templo data do século XV. Foi extinta ao culto em 1834. Em 1921 recebeu o actual Museu D. Lopo de Almeida, onde se pode encontrar, em exposição permanente, notáveis colecções de estatuária sacra e um espólio arqueológico interessante, recolhido no concelho de Abrantes.
