Português: Tombada pela Prefeitura pelo decreto 24.560/04, de 25/8/2004. A igreja foi construída em 1901 por mãos escravas da antiga Fazenda do Campinho ou do Engenho do Portela, tornando-se uma das primeiras igrejas dessa região. Em 1978 lhe foi acrescentada uma escadaria para facilitar o acesso dos fiéis à capela, tendo esta 336 degraus. A branca capela rústica é chamada de São José da Pedra por existir ao seu lado uma grande pedra que se sobrepõe a outra menor, formando uma gruta (Guia do Patrimônio Cultural carioca).
