Description

Considerado um dos mais belos templos da região, a Igreja Paroquial do Divino Espírito Santo, de Monsanto, é um edifício de estilo barroco, com uma imponente fachada, de grande equilíbrio e excelentes proporções, datado de 1768.

O portal sobrepujado do janelão do coro abre-se entre dois nichos baldaquianos, onde se vêem as imagens de S. João Evangelista e de Nossa Senhora da Conceição, em pedra, quase de tamanho natural, formando o Calvário. No frontão figura, em baixo relevo, o Espírito Santo sob um dossel de pedra. À esquerda eleva-se a torre sineira, bem proporcionada.
