Situada na Rua da Igreja Nova, é uma construção dos finais do século XVIII. Veio substituir a antiga Matriz que ruíu durante o terramoto de 1755. A obra teve início em 1872 e foi sagrada no dia 15 de Julho de 1800, pelo Bispo do Algarve, Dom Francisco de Avelar. Para além das esmolas do povo, a obra foi subsidiada pala coroa, tendo a Rainha D. Maria I concedido 5000 cruzados e o Município 596 mil réis. A Igreja, de estilo neoclássico, mede 40m de comprimento, 18,50m de altura e 11,20m de largura interior. Tem uma só nave com quatro capelas laterais, a capela batismal, o coro, dois púlpitos e duas salas laterais. As capelas laterais são dedicadas: às Santas almas (primeira à direita); ao bispo S. Luís (primeira à esquerda); a Nª Sª de Fátima (segunda à direita) e ao Sagrado Coração de Jesus (segunda à esquerda) No altar-mór, salienta-se uma magnífica imagem de Nº Senhora da Conceição, padroeira de Albufeira, com 2,40m de altura, so século XVIII, de autor desconhecido, talvez de origem italiana. A imagem foi coroada com a belíssima coroa de prata no dia 8 de Dezembro de 1946. Tem por fundo um retábulo pintado em tela, da autoria do pintor Samora Barros, figura ilustre de albufeira.
