Description
Deutsch: Grabplatte des kurtrierischen Kammerherrn Ignatius Franz Freiherr von Ehrenfels, geboren 1693, gestorben am 1. Dezember 1774 in Koblenz-Ehrenbreitstein, beerdigt in Sayn. Am 8. November 1762 machte von Ehrenfels eine Stiftung zugunsten der de: Kapelle Am Guten Mann in Mülheim-Kärlich. Auf weitere Stiftungen für Hospitäler und Armenstiftungen wird in den wenigen Aufzeichnungen über ihn hingewiesen. In der Pfarrkirche Kärlich ist ein Messgewand mit dem Wappen des Freiherrn von Ehrenfels erhalten. Dass er selbst Priester war, ist laut Auskunft des Bistumsarchivs unwahrscheinlich. Es sei anzunehmen, dass er das Messgewand der Kirchengemeinde stiftete.
