Español: Iglesia de la Conversión de San Pablo, Cádiz. Sirve a la Casa-Institución de las Arrepentidas, fundada a finales del siglo XVII por doña Jacinta Martínez de Zuloaga. El templo fue construido entre 1679 y 1698 por Benjumeda, según planos de Torcuato Cayón. En 1787, a propuesta del entonces Obispo Escalzo y Miguel fue ampliado. El edificio es de estilo neoclásico y tiene una sola nave cubierta con bóveda de cañón y fajones. Sobre la capilla mayor hay una cúpula sobre pechinas y los muros se decoran con pilastras toscanas adosadas. En el interior los retablos son de mármoles de colores en los órdenes corintio y compuesto. En el altar mayor es digno de mención la escultura del Ecce-Homo, obra del escultor barroco sevillano José Montes de Oca. |
