Description
English: Tripura Sundari Temple : also known as Tripureshwari temple or Matabari of Tripura. It is about 55 km far from Agartala. Founded by the King Dhanya Manikya (one of the eminent King of Manikya dynasty). The temple was established on 1501 A.D. It is situated in the ancient city of Udaipur. Which is also known as Lake city of Tripura. During every Diwali, the people of the state celebrate the festival in a big manner. Many pilgrims from different part of the World as well as the country comes for this holy purpose. This is one of the famous spiritual destination for Hindu people.
