d the three pairs of outer tail-feathers have broadwhite tips; entire underparts white, very faintly tinted withrufous on the flanks and thighs; under wing-coverts white,with the outer ones near the edge of the wing black, and alarge dusky patch ; under surface of the quills black, broadlyedged with white on their inner webs towards their base;iris brown; bill black; legs dark grey. Total length 7 inches,culmen 0*7, wing 3, tail 3*4, tarsus IlS. Hab. Somali-land. Shot on the 2nd of January and seen on a few occasionsafterwards. Iris brown, bill black, feet grey. 27.
