Description
English: Door of former Haus Sweering, a timber framed house in the city centre of Ibbenbüren, Kreis Steinfurt, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is a listed cultural heritage monument.
Deutsch: Ansprechende Holztür des Ackerbürgerhauses Sweering, Bachstraße 10 in Ibbenbüren, Kreis Steinfurt, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. Das laut Denkmalliste stadtbildprägende Fachwerkgebäude in der südlichen Innenstadt stammt aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. Es ist das Stammhaus der Familie Sweering. 1818 gründete Johann Heinrich Sweering dort eine Leinenweberei, die spätere Kleider- und Wäschefabrik J. H. Sweering & Co. Das Haus Sweering wurde 1980 völlig umgebaut und saniert. Seit 1984 steht das vormalige Bauernhaus unter Denkmalschutz. Dieser beschränkt sich jedoch auf Außenhaut und Dachflächen.
