English: Ibach Art-Case piano from a sketch of Prof. Emanuel von Seidl for composer Richard Strauss. The pianofactory Ibach made two of this grand pianos, of witch Richard Strauss did choose one for his villa in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The Richard Strauss piano that has the production numer 56279 is still in the same place, in the Stauss villa. This piano has the serial number 56278 and its the second piano, that Ibach used for exibitions, after Strauss did choose the other one. This is from the original sketch of Prof. Emanuel von Seidl. Richard Strauss had a change done on his piano, the cheeks had been cut out afterwards, to make it possibe for the audience in his villa to see the hands of the piano players.
Deutsch: Ibach Art-Case Klavier nach einer Skizze von Prof. Emanuel von Seidl für den Komponisten Richard Strauss. Die Klavierfabrik Ibach fertigte zwei dieser Flügel, von denen Richard Strauss sich einen für seine Villa in Garmisch-Partenkirchen aussuchte. Das Richard-Strauss-Flügel mit der Produktionsnummer 56279 steht noch immer an gleicher Stelle in der Stauss-Villa. Dieser abgebildete Flügel trägt die Seriennummer 56278 und ist der zweite Flügel, den Ibach für Ausstellungen benutzte, nachdem Strauss sich für den andere entschieden hatte. Dieser Flügel wurde gebaut nach der Originalskizze von Prof. Emanuel von Seidl. Richard Strauss ließ an seinem Klavier eine Änderung vornehmen, die Wangen wurden nachträglich herausgeschnitten, damit das Publikum in seiner Villa die Hände der Klavierspieler sehen konnte. |
