| Description | I was aghast to see a Christian church right in the middle of Prek Toal. I could somehow never associate Cambodia with Christianity, having seen scores of Buddhist temples (some with Hindu influence) in Siem Reap (the Angkor temples) and Phnom Penh. (and later in Battambang). I also noticed a large school there, officially open to the public (there were signs not to disturb students or interrupt classes) but it was closed, probably because it was Sunday. (Prek Toal Bird Sanctuary, Siem Reap, Cambodia, Apr. 2014) |
