Description This 'Ongiara', the boat that will take me from Jack Layton Ferry Terminal in Toronto to Ward's Island, which itself is visible across the water ahead of the stern of the boat. Ongiara can carry 220 passengers and 10 cars or 8 trucks. Built in 1960, She was repowered in November 2006. The boat is capable of providing winter service (probably meaning she is an ice breaker?) and carries service vehicles across the bay. (Toronto, Canada, Nov.2015)
