Description

"I am young and have no dog" , by Erik Pevernagie, oil on canvas (100 x100 cm)

Horses are “mindful creatures.” When we watch them closely, and we are not endowed with a tin ear, we can hear them thinking.

Men can be good ' horse whisperers', but dogs, on their part, are able to be outstanding "man whisperers ".

A dog can be a ‘significant other’ as it infuses a magic fluid stream of oxytocin, trust, ease, and patience; and transforms a man’s life into a paradise of complicity and mutual sympathy.

What is more, it is capable of arousing an instinct of playfulness that many people have lost since their young age, and that can put things into new perspectives.

We may sometimes witness conversations at cross purposes and see how people hold muted dialogues of the deaf. They keep talking without really recognizing what the other is trying to bring home. Why should we not more engage in discussions with animals, promising much better results? Animals often appear to be much wiser, reasonable observers, and excellent listeners.

An animal can mostly be an extremely motivated creature and can give unrestricted, uncalculated affection. Being so moving, human partners do not hesitate to bequeath a fortune. (Leona Helmsley, David Harper, Drew Barrymore and also Oprah Winfrey )

Young people may perhaps be less receptive or needy because the “wide world’ ‘out there” might be eagerly waiting for them. As the future is bright and time is limited, they want to conquer it.

However, if a gap in the schedule makes it possible, adoption could be taken into consideration, possibly a substitute for a human pet.
