PENSACOLA, Fla. Saturday scholars and their mentors from Information Warfare Training Command Corry Station stand during the presentation of the colors at a graduation ceremony held at the Naval Air Station Pensacola chapel. The mentors were Navy "A" and "C" school students who teamed up with the New Warrington Elementary School students to complete the Saturday Scholars program, exploring science, technology, engineering and math concepts. IWTC Corry Station partnered with the Escambia County school district, continuing a 33-year-old tradition. Saturday Scholars is an example of the Navy’s Personal Excellence Partnership Program, which strives for excellence in developing the youth of surrounding communities by promoting academic achievement, healthy lifestyles, and civic responsibility.
