DescriptionIT WORKS!!!.jpg |
After about a month of work, tonight things finally paid off. My little QRP rig sprang to life with nary a puff of magic smoke! I immediately heard a bunch of CW signals as soon as I popped in my headphones. Most were off frequency but there were a couple that were loud enough to make out. I owe a tremendous amount of thanks to the guys from qrp-l, as well as Jonathan, KC7FYS. Without their input and encouragement this thing would still be an EAGLE schematic. Left to do: Find an enclosure Solder on the mono phone jack for the keyer Install the power switch Update: I wanted to wait until I confirmed it, but the first station heard on the new rig was DX! I copied VE2ER in Quebec calling CQ around 11PM EDT! This morning (7/2) I had solid copy of N4ABM in Reston, VA for about 15 minutes! |
