Summary

[edit]
Description
English: View of Cuba taken during ISS Expedition 18. South coast of Cuba. Cayos de San Felipe}, between Isla de la Juventud to the east and the south-west coast of Pinar del Rio province on mainland Cuba to the west. They are part of Pinar del Rio province (and not of Isla de la Juventud's special municipality). They are NOT part of the Canarreos Archipelago either.

On the left : cayo Real according to googlemaps - googlemaps places cayo Siju in the next spot to the east (so according to googlemaps, cayo Siju is the thin elongated island seen here on the right). Still on the left, it's cayo Sijú according to openstreetmap - and to mapcarta (which can't be linked here). Do not conclude that two over one makes it right: more likely than not, one has copied the other.

That said, Googlemaps is getting it wrong on at least one triple point: indicating that island (the one it calls cayo Real) as the place of the National park Los Indios: 1) as of 2023 there is no such thing as a Cuban national park of that name (at least not officially, check here and here) there's only a Reserva Ecológica Los Indios strictly on isla Juventud which does not include any island; 2) the national park here is called "National park Cayos (de) San Felipe"; and 3) the los Indios islands are between the San Felipe and isla de la Juventud, so somewhere to the east of the San Felipe - and are not part of the San Felipe islands. This does not mean googlemaps got it wrong on the islands' names; it just means we have to be cautious and indicate which says what.
