English: De todos los scooters que rivalizaron con Vespa y Lambretta, este fue el más sobresaliente y longevo. Con un aspecto un tanto masivo y ruedas de 12" el Isoscooter equipaba como todas sus hermanas el magnífico motor Iso de doble pistón, en este caso refrigerado por turbina, que le daba unplus en rendimiento yfiabilidad.
El Isoscooter se fabricó ininterrumpidamente y sin apenas variaciones durante 12 años, y con su dureza y ausencia de averías era una solución perfecta para los desplazamientos urbanos, dadas las diferencias con transporte colectivo. De la prolífica fábrica del barrio de Carabanchel también saldrían los famosos motocarros Iso, el microcoche Isetta, el motor auxiliar El Ratón y posteriormente las furgonetas de origen alemán Borgward. Sin embargo con la matriz italiana ya dedicada a los coches deportivos, la desaparición de Borgward y el motor bipistón ya obsoleto, Iso pasó a otras manos en 1968, no sin dejar una profunda huella en muy diversos ámbitos de nuestra motorización. ISO MOTOR ITALIA Madrid (España). Motor - a 2 tiempos, 2 cilindros con cámara de explosión común. Cilindrada - 124cc. Potencia - 7 CV/5.200rpm. Caja de cambios - 3 velocidades. Velocidad máxima - 75 Km/h. Periodo de producción - 1952 - 1963. Precio (ff) en 1957 - 19.400 ptas. |
