Description
English: INS Valsura, a premier training institute of Indian Navy, is celebrating its 75th year of dedicated Service to the Country. Towards commemorating its Platinum Jubilee, the unit conducted a River Rafting expedition was conducted at Rishikesh, Uttarakhand on 07-08 Jun 17. The event was flagged from Valsura, Jamnagar on 05 Jun 17 by Commodore Indrajit Dasgupta, Commanding Officer. A total of 32 personnel from the unit - seven Officers and 25 Sailors participated in the river rafting expedition covering a distance of 30 km. The team crossed many rapids including the famous ‘Roller Coaster’, ‘Goal Post’, ‘Double Trouble’ and ‘3 Blind Mice’. The team is expected to reach back the unit on 10 Jun 17. The expedition was conducted to foster the spirit of adventure and develop camaraderie and ‘esprit-de-corps’ amongst the Naval personnel of the unit.
