During Johnston’s visit to Army JSTARS, Weber presented him with a certificate from the Governor of the state of Georgia in recognition of Team JSTARS 100,000 combat flying hour milestone in Central Command. Team JSTARS, consisting of the Georgia Air National Guard 116th ACW, Air Force active duty 461st ACW, and ARMY JSTARS, flies the only E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System, or Joint STARS, manned platform providing command and control, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and battle management to combatant commanders across the globe.
