Description
Italiano: Il monumento funebre dei Visconti di Angera, nella seconda cappella Visconti della Chiesa di Sant'Eustorgio a Milano. Sul sarcofago, la scena dell'"Incoronazione di Maria", attorniata dai componenti della famiglia Visconti inginocchiati. I cognomi e gli stemmi nobiliari di questi sepolcri sono stati tutti accuratamente scalpellati, probabilmente nel periodo successivo alla Rivoluzione Francese. Foto di Giovanni Dall'Orto, 1-3-2007.
English: The funerary monument of the House of Visconti of Angera, in the second Visconti chapel in Sant'Eustorgio church at Milan, Italy. Along the sarcophagus, a relief with "Coronation of Mary", surrounded by kneeing members of the House of Visconti. Surnames and coats of arms have been carefully chiselled away from these graves, likely in the period following the French Revolution. Picture by Giovanni Dall'Orto, March 1 2007.
