Description
Italiano: Edificato durante la creazione della Venaria Reale per l’allevamento delle cavalle di razza, il Castello della Mandria venne in seguito destinato da Vittorio Emanuele II ad uso abitativo, divenendo ben presto sua residenza e luogo prediletto. Legato alle diverse attività venatorie del sovrano, qui il re poté coltivare, lontano dai doveri di corte, le sue molteplici passioni e il grande affetto rivolto a Rosa Vercellana, alla quale fu destinato il castello. Alla realtà storica si aggiunge ora l’importanza e il valore del patrimonio naturalistico del parco, con percorsi escursionistici fra alberi centenari e piccole perle architettoniche.
