[edit]
Description
English: Lt. Gen. James L. Terry, incoming commander, International Security Assistance Force Joint Command, toured the Detention Facility in Parwan, June 3, 2012, to gain a better understanding of the strategic-level mission conducted at the DFIP. IJC partners with Afghan National Security Forces to neutralize the insurgency and to support governance and development in Afghanistan. Guiding the tour was Lt. Gen Keith M. Huber, commander, Combined Joint Interagency Task Force 435, and Col. Robert M. Taradash, commander, Task Force Protector. CJIATF 435 oversees all detainee operations in Afghanistan. The tour started with a brief overview of the detainee services branch, followed by a walk-through of a detainee housing unit and the state-of-the-art medical facility, and ended with a viewing of a Detainee Review Board. In this photo Taradash (left) briefs Terry (middle) and Huber (right) on the family visitation options available at the DFIP.
