Description

Parati estado do Rio de Janeiro

Construída em 1800 pela aristocracia, até 1820 ainda não havia sido terminada. Com a decadência da cidade, a igreja ficou abandonada até 1901, quando a Irmandade de Nossa Senhora das Dores, composta somente por mulheres, a reformou. É atualmente conhecida com “Capela das Dores” ou “Capelinha”. Projetada para ter duas torres, apenas uma foi concluída. Na parte de traz da igreja há um cemitério em estilo columbário (com tumbas embutidas). Observar nessa igreja os detalhes da sacadas internas em madeira rendilhada e o galo marcador da direção dos ventos na torre.

Aberta de terça a domingo das 09:00h às 12:00h e das 14:00h às 17:00h.

NOSSA SENHORA DAS DORES CHURCH

It was built in 1800 by aristocracy, until 1800 there haven't been finished yet. With the city decadence, the church was abandoned until 1901, when the Irmandade Nossa Senhora das Dores, consisted only of women, reformulated. It is currently known as "Capela das Dores" or "Capelinha". Projected to have two towers, only one was concluded. In the back part of the church, there is a cemetery in "columbário"style (with tombs inserted). Note in this church, the details of the internal balconies in wood like lacework and the cock marking the winds direction in the tower.
