Description
English: A travelling fair was visiting Erfurt and this wonderful IFA Horch truck was part of the entourage. I guess the remainder was made up of Robur and W50s which of course, were 10 a penny at the time. The antaennae are quite wonderful THese vehicles were built between 1960 and 1967 in the Ernst Grube works in Werdau. This vehicle is registered in the next Bezirk, Halle (code letter K) Behind the truck, the triple spired church of St Severi, and to the left part of the adjacent Dom or Cathedral church of St Marien. The Domplatz is still a favourite place for Kirmes or Travelling Fairs, but I suspect without attendant IFA trucks. More photos of S4000-1 and other DDR trucks here. Hauber = Normal Control
