עברית: סרן שביט בן משה השיא הערב את משואת כוחות הביטחון מטעם צה״ל.
הסיפור של שביט הוא סיפור של גבורה ואומץ, סיפור שלא שומעים בכל יום. ב-7 באוקטובר הוא שירת כמפקד מחלקה בגדוד 890 בחטיבת הצנחנים, והוקפץ יחד עם הצוות שלו ללחימה ביישובי העוטף. כשהגיע לקיבוץ חולית, הוא קיבל שיחת טלפון שם נודעה לו הבשורה המרה - רס״ן אריאל בן משה ז״ל, קצין בסיירת מטכ״ל וחשוב מכך - אחיו הגדול, האהוב והנערץ, נפל בקרב. הייתה לשביט האפשרות לסגת לאחור ולעצור - אך הוא המשיך להילחם, להציל חיים ולהרוג מחבלים ואף נפצע בעצמו. שביט תמיד הלך בדרך של אריאל, מהלימודים בפנימייה הצבאית, עד לגיוס לחטיבת הצנחנים שם אריאל החל את דרכו הצבאית והיציאה לקצונה. הערכים שהובילו את אריאל ממשיכים להוביל את שביט כלוחם, מפקד ואדם. שביט, אני בטוח שאריאל ז״ל מסתכל עלייך מלמעלה וגאה בך. אני משוכנע שאתה מהווה דוגמא למפקדים ולוחמים ואני סומך עלייך שתמשיך להוביל. |
