IBM 3505 Punched card reader, part of IBM 360 system, and punch cards. Long, oblong-shaped machine on wheels. [formerly Blue] Red (repainted after they were part of collection) cabinet doors at bottom on both sides. On the left hand side are 3 sectioned trays on a slope with securing slides leading to the inside. On the right hand side are 12 push buttons and counter. Opening flap allows loading to be gravity fed. "Open Top Cover" button releases top solid cover revealing interior mechanism. Loose metal guide/slide. Marks "IBM 3505 / CARD READER" Maker's Plate Media/Materials Processed Material/Metal Organic/Vegetal/Plant Extract/Latex/Rubber Processed Material/Synthetic/Plastic Other name 3505 Card Reader |
