Description
Deutsch: Auf dem Gleis 12 der Westseite, zum Aufnahmezeitpunkt laufen die Bauarbeiten für die Betriebsaufnahme der S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland im Dezember 2013. Seit dem 25. November 2012 ist die Strecke LC/6361 Leipzig Hbf–Connewitz bis Stötteritz gesperrt und sofort stillgelegt. Der Verkehr Richtung Altenburg und weiter läuft deshalb über den Westring und die Strecke PG/6379 Plagwitz–Gaschwitz. Im Dezember 2013 geht die RE-Linie Leipzig–Zwickau in der S5X Halle–Zwickau auf.
Der Zug besteht aus Doppelstockwagen der zweiten Modernisierungsstufe, gebaut ab 1974 als DBmq und DBmu. Ab 1986 wurden sie mit Scheibenbremsen geliefert.
