Description
English: SW-to-NE hydrogeological cross section through the plains of Bucharest, Romania; 1 cm represents 5.5 km. The hachures represent: 1. Red loess; 2. Yellow loess; 3. Sand and gravel; 4. Tertiary clay; 5. Modern alluvium. The high points on the map indicate, left to right: Filaret Station; Mitropoliei Hill; St. George Garden; Heliade Garden. The altitude is given in relation to the Black Sea level. The map also shows the Dâmboviţa and Colentina rivers.
