Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Hurdle support stone This upright stone on top of the dyke has a hollow in the top that supported a top wooden pole to add height to the wall to prevent deer jumping over. There is one about every 4 to 5 metres the length of the dyke. This provided a cost effective solution to deer control.
