Was sometimes known as the Huntsman's Hotel. Established in 1849 and traded until 1960 when the licence was transferred to the Hotel Australia. This building, which dates from 1882, had a number of uses after 1960, including the Lutheran Church Library, until it opened as the Archer Hotel in 2003. The Archer went into administration in October 2018.

An advertisement for the Majestic Theatre on King William Street can be seen at the right of the photograph.

"I'LL GO QUIETLY" Betting Charges Admitted “I’ll go quietly, you got me fair," said Arthur S. Frost to Constables Curyer and Talka when they arrested him in Huntsman's Hotel, North Adelaide, on Saturday. He was fined £5 with 10/ costs by Mr. H. M. Muirhead, S.M., in the Adelaide Police Court this morning for having been on the premises for the purpose of unlawful betting. He pleaded guilty. Similar charges were also admitted by Allen B. Walton at Old Queen's Arms Hotel, Wright street, Adelaide, and Albert S. Harry and Harold Hambly at Hilton Hotel, Hilton. Walton was fined £5 with 10/ costs, and Harry and Hambly £5 with 9/6 costs each. The News, Monday 7 March 1927, p5
