Summary
[edit]DescriptionHungerford Bridge - geograph.org.uk - 791003.jpg |
English: Hungerford Bridge Hungerford Bridge (with the "Tattershall Castle" moored almost underneath) looking towards Charing Cross Station from the South Bank. The "Tattershall Castle" is a side-paddle Humber river ferry, built in 1934, 199 ft long, with a triple-expansion 1200 IHP engine (in working order but disconnected and turned electrically for demonstations). Out of service 1973, was a floating art gallery. Now, after repairs and refurbishment, moored as a "pub". |
