| Description |
English: Humber Micro-Port. Picture shows vessel "Alexander Tvardovskiy" with hatch covers raised discharging a cargo of timber from the Baltic at Barrow Haven Wharf. There were the two orange cranes, supported by six fork-lifts working the cargo. The speed of operation was impressive and I think it likely that it would have been finished between the morning (05:30) and evening (17:59) high tides. The high tide today was 6.4m and the ship draws about 4.5m fully laden. |
